Three ways to leave the airport
- The yellow taxi: it waits outside the terminal and runs on the meter. Handy for central Tunis, La Marsa or Gammarth, less suited to long distances and bulky luggage.
- The louage: a shared minibus that leaves from the city's stations once it is full. Very cheap, but you first have to get to the station with your suitcases.
- The private transfer: a driver waits for you in the hall with a sign bearing your name, the price is fixed when you book and the vehicle is suited to the number of passengers.

Metered taxis: what to watch out for
- Make sure the meter is switched on at the start.
- The night rate is higher than the day rate.
- For a destination outside Tunis, agree on the price before getting in.
- Have some dinars in cash: card payment is still rare in taxis.
Why book your transfer in advance?
- No waiting: your driver tracks your flight and waits for you even if it is delayed.
- Fixed price: no extra charge for luggage, motorway tolls or arrival time.
- The right vehicle: sedan, van or minibus depending on your group, child seats on request.
- Peace of mind: ideal after a long flight, with family or for a night-time arrival.
Fixed price, a driver waiting for you on arrival, available 24/7.
